The Experis Tech Academy is a training centre able to vertically and quickly specialise the best talents and develop the resources of its customers through innovative training offers, ranging from market-based training to training funded by going through tailor-made projects.
The challenge
For decades, people in Italy's Emilia Romagna region have worked in the textile industry creating fabric for prestigious houses of fashion. But technological advances in the machinery lead to increased supply and therefore lower demand, leaving many workers without jobs.
At the same time, world leaders in the automotive industry were experiencing a shortage of talent skilled in the technologies and materials needed for fabrication.
Solution
The Expertise Tech Academy is offering three main programmes, namely a higher training master programme, a requalification and graduates programme as well as tailor-made courses. By upskilling and reskilling the local labor force, the initiative enables them to pivot their careers.

Outcomes
The Tech Academy has resulted in the creation two academies with eight hands-on labs, fifteen training programs and forty courses. Hundreds of applicants who enrolled in the Academy were able to find new roles in the Italian automotive industry and experience wage increase.
Experis Tech Academies have since started in Spain, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Norway, the UK and the Czech Republic and are scaling beyond the motorsports industry to include IT & Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing.
