Career support for small business employees

As Covid-19 forced many small businesses to furlough or permanently lay off employees, Career Management firm LHH understood the challenge for these employers to provide outplacement support. The company made a complimentary offer to help those businesses support their departing employees in this economically challenging period.

The challenge

The challenges brought on by the Covid-19 crisis have forced many small businesses to furlough or permanently lay off employees as they temporarily close or scale back their operations. For many of those small businesses, purchasing outplacement support for their employees was simply not an option during this economically challenging time.

In addition to extending the support provided to clients by 4 to 6 weeks, LHH has offered small businesses the opportunity to provide their employees with 30 days of complimentary access to virtual, self-paced career resources. Through a specially curated online hub—LHH Career Resource Network (CRN) Essentials, employees of small business got help to navigate their transition and manage their job search by:

  • improving their resume and LinkedIn® profile to get noticed, faster
  • developing their job search strategy and leverage learning resources to be successful
  • confidently applying and interviewing for jobs
